GRD Minproc Limited has been appointed to carry out a Feasibility Study for the PT Inco Pomalaa HPAL near Kolaka, province of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, for and on behalf of Vale Inco. Vendors should also take notice that while the current enquiry is for the Pomalaa plant, a sister plant called “Sorowako” is also being evaluated to be constructed in parallel, duplicating the future equipment order.
At this stage we have identified your Company as a possible Supplier to participate in the budget pricing for this study and, to pre-qualify for participating in the project Tender which will take place in the first quarter of 2009.
Subject to the response to the attached Vendor Questionnaire Summary, your Company will be requested to submit a BUDGET QUOTATION (to be used in the current feasibility study) for a complete coal fired power plant consisting of:
- 3 steam turbine generators nominally rated at 20MW each (11KV).
- Single coal fired boiler nominally rated at 200 tph.
- 2 diesel fired package boilers nominally rated at 100 tph.
- 4 diesel engine generator sets nominally rated at 2.0MW (3.3kV).
- One emergency diesel engine generator set nominally rated at 0.5MW (380V).
- Coal handling facilities including stockpile recovery, coal pulverising, etc.
- All ancillary facilities including demin water production and distribution, cooling tower and cooling water system.
Please, acknowledge receipt of this Notice by means of returning the Vendor Questionnaire Summary and any further information you consider important in electronic format.
Upon receipt of your complete questionnaire you will be issued the Request For Pricing (RFP) documents containing the technical specification of the equipment to be quoted for the subject power plant.
